Final conference

June 20th-22nd, 2023

The final conference was hosted for 3 days at the University of Aveiro in june 2023 and involved 14 students from the partner universities.

The SEVERE final conference was the culmination of the project and was the opportunity for students to receive one last session of in-person training. The event gathered both students from cohort 2, for whom it was the first mobility, and students from cohort 1 who had become mentor and shown commitment to the SEVERE programme. With this in mind, the agenda was drafted to answer both groups’ needs with personalised mentoring and impactful transversal workshops.

Day 2 ended with a presentation of cohort 2 projects, putting them up to public speaking, while cohort 1 students were now in the evaluator seat.

By the end of the 3-day event, students had:
  • developed and furthered public speaking skills
  • gained inspiration on social innovation actions from each other
  • learned how to apply their severe skills beyond the project

With the SEVERE project ended, students are now free to use the numerous skills they gained during the SEVERE experience to further their projects and remain involved with Social Innovation!
